The change to cotton bags

In the last few years, cotton bags have gained prominence. The awareness to use cotton bags has increased and people are increasingly reaching out for cotton bags. This is a positive and welcome change, thanks to the various policy initiatives by the government and awareness campaign by various forums and organisations in the eco system.

The sight of a cotton tote bag inspires me. A cotton bag with a print and long handle brings joy and gives the satisfaction that we are holding a sustainable product in our hand. All said and done, the cotton bags market in India is still in the nascent stage and it is a price sensitive market. Running a bag sewing company, I understand this challenge and always try to bring a balance between price and value delivered to the customer. At the end the day the customer's problem has to solved at a reasonable price. But, I foresee a bigger future for cotton bags in India in the coming years where there will be aspiring customers asking demanding quality and more elegant bags. We need to be prepared for that.

I see a bag with a brand name printed as a 'brand carrier' and through the bags a powerful messaging is being done by the brand. So when you deliver your products to your customer in a bag, the quality standard of the bag and its making speaks a lot about the product you place inside the bag too.

I am always looking forward to work with variety of customers, those who demand products at a very competitive price, customers who demand quality, customers who eye each detail on the bag and ask for improvement, customers who ask for variety etc. Working with a broad repertoire of customers and respecting each customer's needs and purpose and delivering it accordingly is what my business should stand for.
